Our approach
MOTOMAN supplies turnkey robotic systems of the highest quality to meet customer-specific requirements. All systems are engineered, designed and built by MOTOMAN, meaning that you need only a single supplier for your robotic project.
1. Consulting
Our experienced application engineers evaluate and advise on possible solutions and technologies. Their extensive process expertise and knowledge of MOTOMAN products enables them to apply MOTOMAN’s highly advanced robotic technology in innovative ways to solve your toughest automation challenges.
2. Engineering
MOTOMAN’s engineers are responsible for designing, building and implementing all of the mechanical functions related to a system. This includes overall layout, pneumatics, grippers, process equipment and mechanical safety equipment. The engineers typically use design tools such as SolidWorks and CatiaV5, state-of-the-art simulation tools, such as MotoSim EG, and off-line tools such as MotoVisual and ROBCAD to perform reach studies, cycle-time checks and verification of layout prior to final approval and building.
3. Testing/experimentation
MOTOMAN performs a wide range of tests and experiments in close cooperation with the customer. Areas in which we can perform testing and experimentation include the following:
- Introduction of new systems and technology
- Feasibility studies
- Analysis of cycle times
- Off-line simulations
- Planning and testing of jigs and tools
- Developing and designing tests and experiments
- Presenting/demonstrating results
- Customer project support
4. Project management
A project manager is assigned to each project to coordinate all project details and to ensure that resources and requirements are balanced to meet your schedule, delivery and budget constraints. Scheduling, design reviews, approvals, engineering, purchasing, etc. are all coordinated by the project manager until the system is ready for delivery. MOTOMAN has quality certification in accordance with ISO 9001, thus ensuring that there are processes and work methods in place to meet the highest standards for project management.
5. Commissioning
The completed robotic system is assembled, installed and tested at the customer site. All work is performed by MOTOMAN’s skilled service organisation to ensure that it performs as expected. The project manager continues to support the project until final acceptance is received. If you so wish, pre-acceptance testing can be performed at MOTOMAN sites.
6. Training & Support
Through training you ensure that employees have complete knowledge and expertise in the installed system and technology. MOTOMAN offers extensive training and course programmes from beginner to expert level, that enables you to utilise your MOTOMAN robots to the greatest extent.
MOTOMAN is committed to its customers and their success, and offers several service alternatives for your robot installation. Our broad network of service personnel are always ready to provide service, on-site troubleshooting, spare parts, preventative maintenance and repairs.
