Allershausen/Gavá (Spain), 18 December 2013

Showroom with MOTOMAN robots at YASKAWA Ibérica

YASKAWA Ibérica, the Spanish subsidiary of YASKAWA Europe GmbH, has moved into its newly built facilities in Gavá, near Barcelona. The new opening is part of YASKAWA’s European growth strategy. The company is expecting considerable growth in the coming years, particularly with regard to the Spanish market.

The new building was ceremonially inaugurated by Manfred Stern, COO of YASKAWA Europe GmbH, and Alfred Santiago, Head of YASKAWA Ibérica, together with Joaquim Balsera, Mayor of Gavá, Takashi Fuchigami, the Japanese Consul General in Barcelona, and Joan Tarradellas representing the Spanish-Japanese Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to modern administration and development areas, the new facilities also boasts a representative showroom. Spanish customers can experience the different potential applications of MOTOMAN industrial robots there at first hand. Various cells demonstrate robotic applications, such as fixtureless welding and automated packaging. YASKAWA Ibérica is also presenting the latest generation of 7-axis robots in Gavá. Furthermore, the new building also provides space for the extensive training and continuous professional development courses offered by the “YASKAWA academy” in Spain.
